Dr. Jim Strauss was born in Pittsburgh, PA and relocated to Stuart, FL at age 6 when his father founded Oral-Facial Surgical Associates. He graduated from Martin County High School in 1984 and Emory University in 1988. He played Varsity Tennis at both the high school and college levels and earned All-American Honors.

He received his DMD degree from the University of Florida in 1992 and then completed a one year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Louisiana State University Medical Center/Charity Hospital. Dr. Jim completed his Oral Maxillofacial training at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital between 1992 and 1997. Glad to return home to the treasure coast, Dr. Jim joined his father at Oral-Facial Surgical Associates in July 1997.

Away from the office Dr. Jim enjoys time with his daughters, playing tennis, and hiking.
