I had one of my lower back molars extracted by Dr. J. Strauss and it was 100% painless. The last time I had a tooth extracted was when my Wisdom Teeth were removed in 1990. That was a very rough experience, and I was very nervous about having one of my large molars extracted because of that past experience. But Dr. J. Strauss and his staff made this very, very easy and painless! I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism from the entire staff. The process was super-simple. They put an IV in my arm - told me that I was going to take a nap, and that is EXACTLY what happened. I remember waking up at the end and asking them if they had started, and they said "it's all over- you're all set" I couldn't believe how easy it was! I wasn't even that groggy afterward (not like I expected to be) And afterward, including the next morning, the pain level was minimal!!!! A big thumbs up to the "JawDocs"!!!!! If I need another extraction, I will DEFINITELY Use this office!

I normally don't leave reviews and it has been several weeks after my latest visit but I felt compelled to relay how much I appreciate the staff and Dr. Strauss. Everyone is so kind, helpful and friendly. This is my second visit to the office and both times have been wonderful. Dr. Strauss gave me his honest recommendations and I appreciate that. From the appointment scheduler, front-desk staff, dental assistants, to the Doctor, the entire experience is wonderful - even for someone that has terrible anxiety at dental offices. Thank you all for being so wonderful.

I was completely terrified of the dentist to the point I had not seen one in years, had impacted wisdom, on top of broken/missing except the root teeth next to them... the only reason I scheduled is because they promised to make sure I was asleep before doing anything! But once I got there and in the back my nurse was something else... I was a mess crying freaking out and she stood by my side reassuring I’ll be ok... I ended up getting 10 teeth pulled! 🤯 but the recovery was amazing! After the day of surgery I was feeling so much better! Just went for my 1 week check and I’m healing amazing and wasn’t scared a bit to walk in the back this time! I’d recommend this place to anyone scared they truly listen and are there for you! And the nurse I had I’m so sorry for not remembering your name but girl you’re everything a nurse should be! Thank you for being you!

Dr. James Strauss, Mikayla, Leanna, and Kenia at the Gatlin Blvd office were outstanding in every way. Things were on time, friendly and professional. Thinking about having a tooth extracted can be a scary thing but this experience was as good as it could be. My aftercare is going well and I highly recommend these folks.
